and to your right...
I am living a satisfactory life. Satisfactory. The word, in itself, has become a negative when you place it against it's brilliant brothers and sister. When you place your life against a life that you admire, what do you have? A life that is much better than it could potentially be, but...
There is always a 'but'. I cannot help but wonder if everybody thinks their life is satisfactory. If everyone is looking to the life on their right thinking "ooh. pretty." (Or perhaps something a little more intelligent.)
I think i'm just missing mental stimulation. I seem to only find it when i'm walking at night, looking up, singing about whatever comes to mind, which, quite often, surprises even me. At times, people sitting on hotel balcony's hear me singing, and say hello, or just smile, and it makes me feel a little better about the world. Because, to tell you a secret thought i've been having of late, the world hasn't been very friendly lately.
well, not in comparison to the person on my right anyway.
cheer up, buttercup, right?

don't cheer up buttercup, you don't need to, by your own admission, there's somebody on your left..
besides, if there wasn't somebody on your right, how would you know that there's still things you haven't done?
