getting over it

Everyone seems to believe in signs in one form or another... religion has thier heirophanies - symbols or objuects that have higher meaning (e.g - christians have the church and crucifixes, etc), writing have letters as symbols eventually representing words, patriotic people have flags, etc. Then there are the other kind of signs, signs that remind you of things... some you want to think about (8), others you don't (golf flags), but in the end, no matter where you go, your past follows you. Memories bombard your present self through objects and images, and we're left remembering, whether we want to or not.
This week, I've been followed by my past more-so than usual. I wish i weren't in Australia at the moment. Things have been difficult here - trying to forget the bad things while remembering that there Is a future that will be different.
