what's the matter with the car i'm drivin'?

I've had Billy Joel in, and out of my head for a long time now. It's better when he's actually playing, because then it doesn't drive me nuts. Especially because I don't know all the lyrics. I can fake the whole "north korea, south korea, marilyn monroe", but I just don't seem to remember the lyrics to all of one song, it's just bits and pieces. I think my memory is just like that... it doesn't commit too much to one certain thing, giving off the impression that I know quite a lot, when in actual fact, I just know a little about a lot of subjects because I have a lazy mind. It's the same with books, music, actors, dare I say people? If I find a favourite, i become extremely happy, because finally, my mind has settled enough to think upon one thing, rather than skimming many.

I only know a couple [dozen] Billy Joel songs by memory. A few of them have slapped me around a bit. He's a talented writer that can sing, rather than the other way around. It's rare.
