randomness
In Taoism, there's a prominent concept of duality, visually represented by the ying-yang symbol. That's the only way to describe my weekend. In the shitty parts of it, there was always a spot of good, and in the good parts there was always a spot of the bad.
Saturday night was one particular down point, when, for a second time in my life, someone tried to rape me. This was after i lost everybody that I knew, but before couldn't find my way back to where I was staying. When I finally did, I met one of the most amazing people I have randomly met. She was there on a basketball tour, and made me smile after I had cried for about an hour, feeling sorry for myself. She was beautiful and happy, but sadly confessed that, (only her sister other than I know), that she was dying of cancer. She wasn't old. I then proceeded to cry for her instead of me. The words "blubbery mess" comes to mind.
Sunday night was better. "Random" is the only way I can describe it. I met a bunch of random people, met a biggest loser, got compliments about my hat all night, played the guitar of a guy in a band (sort of), danced like a loser to 80's music with Rob, sung into a bands mic, learned how to lose a dollar in a poker machine, won an arm wrestle with a random and met a whole bunch of crazy Irishmen. Odd night, but certainly not bad.
I do however think that i've only just got over my hangover from the past few days. *blushes*

wow - not even sure what words to say - so instead actions (speaking louder than words I hope) for this reply
LOTS OF HUGS, A FEW TEARS and NODS OF HEAD (in understanding, shared wow and mega-whews)
Did I mention the Hugs and some quirky smiles too? : )
PS - i like to get bracelets, rings or necklaces from the places I travel - been doing it for a numebr of years now - the first bracelet that started me on this (from Baltimore Maryland in a nondescript mall cart and i still have that one on my wrist) was a leather woven cord bracelet with a metal ying-yang symbol - two other of the 6 bracelets I currently wear as well as one of my rings and a necklace (I do not wear the necklace and ring everyday) also weave that symbol into the jewelry - the necklace is a metal surface board that has the mood ring effect covering much of the surfboard in a wave shape and the Y-Y symbol is in the middle - I love that analogy the necklace represents - surfing through life, mood changes and swirls and in the middle, constant, is that symbol) but anyhoos - guess I did have a few words - lol - sorries - take care always and know regardless of being alone there are people out there thinking about ya! doc
