anti princess

My sister was describing me the other day, and she said that I often shut the world out, and yet, I have the best view of the world. Like I’m in a tower with a window. Nobody can get to me, but I can see everything much clearer because I have a Birdseye view.
I can’t help but notice the parallels to fairy-tales. People don’t chose to be in the tower, they get locked up there by ugly witches. What kind of person would chose to have the view over being one of the people below?
The ironic thing is that I love people, and not just the act of people-watching either. Making them smile in some way, talking to them, finding out things I didn’t know, telling them things they should know… it’s all a beautiful thing to me, but whenever a person gets too close, something happens, and we never stay close.
I can't help but wonder if i'll always be in the tower.

P.S Hello Kuwait, Switzerland, Sydney, etc.

Do you ever find that you want something really bad and then when you get it, you don't want it anymore?

Maybe you just need to let a little bird in, talk to it for a while and then let it go. It'll come back again and again. You can talk to it again and again, and gradually you'll want to walk outside by yourself - don't shut other people out too much, I've heard they can really be a lot of fun...

yes, but that doesn't happen to me concerning people. It's always about a lasagne or a book, or something equally non-human.

The only way people dissapoint me is when there's a reason behind it. There's always a reason.
