why do people always question the chicken and its motives?... no one ever wonders why the little boy or the cat crosses the road, or why the cow stops halfway across, to wait for passing cars...

cows are better at playing a game of "chicken" than chickens are... they'll never move in the face of a moving vehicle...

makes you think, i think...

the chicken didnt cross the road. The road crossed the chicken, and that was its last mistake. The road awoke some days later to find a horse head in its bed, and from that day forward lived in fear of a coke-fuelled, white suit wearing rooster hit-squad taking it out in a blaze of machine gun fire.
