Maralinga.

I've been singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for the past hour or so. The crazy thing is is that I seem to be singing it rather well, and, of course, there's nobody here to hear it. Figures. The other strange thing is that my imagination seems to be improving, because not only do I sound okay in my head, but there's also a lovely little orchestra somewhere in there backing me up. So, Judy's voice is coming out with an entire strings section, a bit of a brass section and a lovely grand piano that I imagine would make the finest pianest green with envy.

Another example of my changing imagination is the guy from the 'wonder years'... i'm not sure if i've already said this, or should even say it, though, so i'll stop right here.

On a non-imaginary note, there's 23 days until I leave. (or is it 22?) I have been cooking Tuscan Onion Soup (very tasty), I have told Rob to leave me alone (he was almost up to stalker standards), I have decided to write more on something I began a long time ago (mostly because an ex lover told me he would be dissapointed if I had stopped writing it), and i've decided not to talk to people who I know are not kind hearted people. This may sound like somthing most people do, but I don't think I have been. As Bob once said "the times they are a-changing." Thank God.

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

- Bob Dylan

Thanks for reminding me.

P.S. Don't write because of an ex-lover. Write because it feels good.
