raining cats and... frogs?

Throughout history, strange things have been happening. A lot of them can't be explained. But one of them that can is when it rains fish and frogs. It can happen in 2 ways. Either there's a strong wind, or a mini tornado, and it sucks them up and drops them back down, often on innocent bystanders. Or, as eggs, they get taken up into the clouds when the water around them evaporates, they grow in the clouds, and then fall back to earth.

Imagine growing in the clouds. *smiles*

Of course, the fall would not be so great. It's a little like a scene in Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy with the whale and a flower-pot, isn't it? Poor whale.

"Hello ground!"

Comments:
So why is the saying 'its raining cats and dogs', rather than 'fish and frogs'?

It's not like 'fish and frogs' doesn't have the same ring as 'cats and dogs', and at least fish and frogs are water creatures?

congrats again, hon. :D

maybe cats as in cat fish??

hey? hey?

:D

haha, i like what ultimately happens to the flower pot, whose role in that scene was vastly understated
